Thino Card--Tips

In the Thino card, the elements are arranged in a specific order, including 1 for the timestamp, 2 for the text display area, 3 including the top button and the source button, and 3 on the right is the menu button.

Basic element description

Timestamp

The timestamp is the first element in the Thino card, and it is also the most important element in the Thino card. The timestamp is the only sorting method in the Thino column, and it is also the only standard for Thino operation. The timestamp is the only standard for Thino operation, including but not limited to the Heatmap and Review are strongly dependent on the time attribute attached to Thino. Therefore, under any circumstances, do not modify or delete the content of the timestamp, otherwise there may be errors.

When you click on the timestamp in the Thino card, a reference relationship pop-up window of the current Thino card will appear. You can see the effect of using the reference function built into Thino to reference the Thino card. For example:

Thino Card--Timestamp

Timestamp is based on the text in the file, such as:

  • In the Diary Mode, - 12:00 in the diary mode, at this time, it will be combined with the date of the diary file itself, such as 2022-10-10, to calculate the complete time: 2022-10-10 12:00;
  • In the Multi-file Mode, the createdAt attribute in the YAML Frontmatter, which will be recorded in the form of YYYYMMDDHHmmss;
  • In the Single-file Mode, the createdAt attribute in the Callout, which will be recorded in the form of YYYYMMDDHHmmss;

The timestamp is currently the only sorting method in the Thino column, and only when the Thino card is pinned to the top by clicking the Pin button and adding the pinned attribute, the Thino card will be temporarily pinned to the top; at the same time, the timestamp is also the only standard for Thino operation, including but not limited to the Heatmap and Review are strongly dependent on the time attribute attached to Thino. Therefore, under any circumstances, do not modify or delete the content of the timestamp, otherwise there may be errors.

Checkbox

The task button is immediately after the timestamp. There are two situations in which the task button exists, which are(You need to enable it to display in the settings):

  1. When using Diary Mode, it is recorded as a task list;
  2. When using other source modes, it will be accompanied by the corresponding type attribute and recorded as a Task task.

The task button is the only way to complete the task in the Thino card. When the Thino card is in the task list, it can be indexed by other plugins of Obsidian, and when the task is completed, the corresponding original text will be triggered to change. When the Thino card is in the diary mode, the original text can be directly operated to complete or cancel the completion of the task, so it is recommended to use the diary mode as much as possible when using the Task mode.

When you click the task button, the original text will be triggered to change. When the Thino card in the diary file is triggered to complete, the corresponding original text will be triggered to change to - [x]; similarly, other modes will be triggered to change to DONE.

Content

The content area is the most important text display area in the Thino card. In Thino, the native rendering supported by Obsidian will be preferred in the Thino, which covers the rendering effects supported by Obsidian. On this basis, Thino also supports:

  • Direct completion of tasks in the Thino card;
  • Direct filtering in the Thino card;
  • Direct preview of pictures in the Thino card;

Pin and Source

The pin button is the only way to affect the current Thino list, and you can put the content you want to prioritize at the top of your Thino list. When you click it, it will add the metadata tag [pinned::true] to the original text.

The source button is only for non-diary mode, and it is a way to distinguish the Thino card from the diary mode. When you click it, it will directly jump to the original text of the Thino card.

When you click the menu button, a menu will be displayed at the same time, and you can view the menu of the Thino card. For more information about the menu, please refer to Menu.
